Dollar Tree Review: Lusti Naturals Gel

On a hunt to find special goodies at the Dollar Tree, I came across something special! :)
Lusti Naturals Argan Oil Curl Wave Twist Shaping Gel

Now for a girl with curly, long, frizzy hair, it's very and I mean VERY hard to find products that will not only enhance our curls but tame them as well. So as I was exploring the store and came across this, I had to try it. I mean c'mon, it's $1 and what if it does work. I'm not usually into the whole gel thing but I figured it was worth a try.
The tub of gel is 10 oz., which is not as much as a 99 cent gel at like Wal-Mart, but those gels don't have argan oil! On the front it advertises that it's fast drying and non-flaking. on the side it says it provides firm hold, dries fast and is non-flaking, helps control frizzy hair and fly away hair, also contains NO alcohol. The fact that it has argan oil and has no alcohol is really what made me buy this. So I tried it, styling my hair normally (which for me is just having it down). My first day reaction to this is OMG!!!! Lol. It left my curls in tact and soft for pretty much the whole day. A couple flaws I will say is that it didn't tame the frizz as much as I was hoping for but it did tame it for about 3-4 hours. Also, it suggested to use a small amount, which I guess if you had less hair than I do than you should use a small amount, but for me I needed about an inch wide and an inch high amount. I have very long hair and it's thick so.. lol. BUT it still isn't as much as I usually use in moose (which is what I would normally use). I did not care too much for the smell. but I never liked the way argan oil smells. It did not flake, it was fast drying, it didn't leave my hair hard like most gels do. An overall 8.5/10 ! And for $1... you really can't beat that.
So basically I loved this product, will buy again, probably will try another product from this line as well.

Dinner For You && Me: Chicken Alfredo

Mmmmm. Let's see what we have for dinner tonight. (Open fridge) Not really much in there. SMH. But something has to be made...

Chicken Alfredo !!!

Ingredients:
Alfredo sauce 15 oz.
Bow tie pasta 12 oz.
2 Chicken breasts
Adobo
Pepper
Italian seasoning
2 slices of Toast
Shredded cheese
olive oil
*season to taste*

You can make this in whatever order your lil heart desires, but for me it was easier this way..

I made sure I had all the ingredients that I needed on the counter ready for me to use. First, I made the chicken. My chicken breasts were pretty big therefore I only needed 2. I used adobo, pepper, and Italian seasoning, just enough to season the chicken to my taste. I don't have a grill or a grill pan to grill the chicken as I would have preferred. You can if you wish to do so. So what I did was cook it in the pan with water about 1/8 deep to steam cook the chicken (keeps it moist as well). Put the top on the pan and let it cook on a medium setting (on my stove I usually set it to the number 5). While the chicken was cooking, I started the pasta. In a medium size pot I boiled about 2-3 cups of water. Once the water started to boiled I lowered to a #5 setting and I put the pasta inside and sprinkled a very little bit of olive oil. Usually for me, once the pasta is al dente, the chicken is done as well. Then, I pour the pasta into a strainer. I put the chicken on a cutting board and cut it in small strips. With the same pot I made the pasta in I pour the alfredo sauce. As soon as it warmed up I added the chicken and pasta. Mixed it all together and took a little sample. I am usually satisfied with the seasoning, but sometimes I would have to add a little something.
To add something to the plate I had also made cheese toast. First, preheated the oven to 350. I cut a few slices of Italian bread (feel free to use whatever bread you have). Drizzled a little bit of olive oil, sprinkled little less than a handful of shredded cheese, sprinkled a little of Italian seasoning, then put it in the oven at for about 5 minutes.

Total time to make is 30-45 min. (depending on your stove)

Wala ! A delicious, quick, and easy meal to enjoy :)
